The Ashford AC Julie Rose Academy team took 44 young athletes to the indoor Sports Hall athletic meeting at the Stour Centre, Ashford on Sunday March 14.
With our biggest team ever competing and with some youngsters competing for the first time, all the young athletes showed outstanding skill and determination in all their given events with many personal records being broken.
Once again the Academy first team of Edward Miller, Cameron Amadee, Amy Omakobi and Ruby Cox took first place excelling their unbeaten record for two years.
In addition to winning first place the Julie Rose Academy were second and third team came second and third respectively overall. Hannah Owen, Joseph Whitby, James Fosbery, Oliver Marsh, Alexander Prickett ,Millie Issaac, Jaimee- Ann Heyes and Kian Crawford.
With many trophies being awarded, many of our young athletes also took home numerous individual medals and personal bests were broken by many off the young athletes. The Academy was also awarded a special trophy for outstanding team 2009/10. Congratulations to the whole team.
