Ashford 10k

Ashford AC Givaudan 10k Sunday 13th October 2024 ---Entries are Open Now---

The first Julie Rose 10k Memorial Road Race took place in 1986, 38 years ago when Steve Cram started the race for us, attracting more than 2000 entries.

We were unable to run the race in 2020, but we were back in 2021 with a virtual race which included runners from all around the world. In 2022 the race returned to a brand new track at the Julie Rose Stadium organised by Sporting Events who also organised the 2023 race and are with us again in 2024, so do make sure you have booked your place. This is one of the few fully 'road closed' events in Kent and starts and finishes on the athletics track at the Julie Rose Stadium. The route goes right through the town before returning to the Stadium for that last sprint and moment of glory! It's your finish that's like an Olympic moment as you run down the finishing straight with family and friends cheering you on trackside and in the stand. Every finisher will also get a special medal commissioned for the event. This is a fairly flat 10k route, making it suitable for both beginners and those chasing a quick time! There will be great music, race commentary and a fun and friendly atmosphere. Bring the whole family and enjoy this great occasion.

We will be using the very latest chip timing.

It is a large race and to ensure the safety of our runners we are always in need of Marshals at various points around the course. If you feel that you could help on the day please contact us.

Facilities at venue: Toilets, car park, refreshments.

Entry fee:  Advanced entries: £22.00 affiliated club members, £24.00 unaffiliated  On-the-day entries (subject to space): £30.00.

Under UK Athletics rules the minimum age for 10k is 15 years on the day.
